CALL TO ARTISTS  2021 BANNER PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce our 2022 Summerland Street Banner program!

The 2022 theme,Our Okanagan Landscape, calls upon artists to share their expressions of the beautiful world around us. At different times our world is covered with snow, bursting with new life in spring, and basking in the summer sun. Our environment includes the ciffs, lake, and sky, and birds, butterflies, even cougars, bears and rattlesnakes. Humankind and our buildings, highways, and fields are also part of the landscape.

This is a juried program, with a third party yet to be determined volunteering their time to choose the five most suitable designs. These will be enlarged and professionally printed on banners.  One design will be chosen from an artist aged 8 - 18.

Artists whose designs are chosen will receive a small honorarium in exchange for the exclusive rights of Summerland Community Arts Council to print the design for any purpose the Council desires. Artists will retain rights to their original image. Commission will be paid for any item sold with an artist’s image on it.

Designs must be submitted by April 22, 2022 to admin@summerlandarts.com.  Please include your name, age (if you’re between 8 and 18), and phone number in the email.   Chosen designs will be announced on May 20, 2022.
