2021 Gallery Shows

We are pleased to announce our 2021 gallery shows!  We have a wonderful mix of artists and media, and are thrilled that two artists whose shows had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 disruption have agreed to join our 2021 season. Pauline Hurley and Marlene Lowden will be featured this spring. 

Show 1:  January 28 - March 13

Permanent Collection       

This show will feature the Summerland Community Arts Centre's permanent collection


Show 2:  March 18 - May 1

“The Journey”

Pauline Hurley is a Summerland artist who works in textural acrylics.

 

Show 3:  May 6 - June 19

“Blind Contour Homage”

A celebration of Canadian Female Artists by Marlene Lowden from Gibsons, BC. Oil on Canvas.


Show 4:  June 24 - August 7

“Kind and Calm”

A showcase for the members of the Summerland Art Club. Approximately 20 artists will be featured, with a total of 40 - 50 pieces in various media.


Show 5:  August 12 - September 25

“Dying into Becoming: A Feast of Changes”

Ceramic Womanscapes by Nelson BC sculptor Dianne Walters.

 Film by Nancy Rosenblum.

 

Show 6:  September 30 - November 13

Semi-abstracted Earthscapes by West Kelowna artist Madelyn Hamilton.  Madelyn works in a wood matrix with acrylic mediums and other imbedded materials
