Philosophers’ Cafés are spring and fall community events where everyone is invited to be a part of a dialogue about a wide variety of issues in our times. So whether you just want to sit back and listen or actively participate, please join us for an evening of meaningful conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea with friends! Spring Arts Courses
During Earth Week in April, you are invited to take part in activities that celebrate environmental education and action. If you want to learn about simple things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint, take action, and have fun, attend this week of family activities.
Every Wednesday starting in July and running through August, SCAC presents Wednesdays in the Park Music Concerts in Memorial Park downtown from 6:30-8:30pm. The musical theme varies each week so there is a little something for everyone! Families are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets or even a picnic and enjoy the music.
Seasons Sparkles, the SCAC’s annual gift sale, opens on “Light Up” night, the last Friday of November and runs until we close for the holidays. Come and visit a winter wonderland with displays of handcrafted items for sale. Visitors are treated to hot apple cider and sweets while they shop and the Board Room is set up with kids’ activities and face painting.
