Canada 150 Community Challenge Art Show







In celebration of “Canada’s 150″, the Summerland Art Gallery will be the scene of an artistic community challenge show all about Canada.This showcase of visual art opens on Thursday, June 19, from 7 -9 pm. with a party. Come and join us for a fun evening complete with cake, door prizes and the opportunity to vote for your favourite.

The works include a wide variety of techniques and subjects, from paintings to photos to quilts, and runs until August 14, 2017, giving visitors a chance to view this eclectic collection of works by 25 local artists plus a wonderful hand made map of the Trans-Canada Trail created by Nina McLachlan, a long time Summerland resident  .

Be sure to mark the dates on your calendar and visit and vote for your favourite. The winner will be presented with a $100 People’s Choice prize at the close of the run of the show.
 While taking in the show make sure to visit our lovely Gift Gallery featuring work by local artists and artisans.The Summerland Art Gallery at 9525 Wharton Street is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am. to 4 pm.
