In its 23rd year, the Arts Appreciation Award is given annually to the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the development, promotion or appreciation of the arts, directly or indirectly. The person receiving the award need not be an artist or craftsperson themselves. Nominations are welcomed from anyone in the community.
Congratulations to Stan Etter on receiving the annual Arts Appreciation Award.
Stan Etter, who is the current treasurer and has been president of the Summerland Community Arts Council was presented with the Arts Appreciation Award at the wrap-up gala during Arts & Culture Week.
Stan has been a board member for over fifteen years and has held many positions including chair of the building committee. He’s been our wine server at Gallery openings, our light bulb changer, our grant preparer and undertaken many of the renovation tasks (including the floor) around the building. Many thanks to Stan for all the years of supporting the arts in Summerland!
