Let the Summerland Museum and the Okanagan Historical Society take you on a $5.00 guided tour of the Fur Brigade Trail in celebration of Cultural Days Week!!
Learn about Summerland’s distinctive First Nations history during a brief presentation led by Dr. David Gregory then spend a few hours exploring the Trail where sensational views of Okanagan Lake await

Skate-Shirt Design Contest for new Summerland Skatepark


The Skate-Shirt Design Contest is underway! Design can be no larger than 10″ x 10″ with maximum 3 colours. All proceeds from the shirt sales will go to help build the new Skatepark.

The Marginal Arts Festival has started!

A colourful literary evening of readings and performances by poets, writers, and actors, with musical interludes, in a comfortable coffeehouse setting at Summerland Waterfront Resort.  Hosted by Erick Thompson

Friday, September 2nd, 7:00 pm
The show begins with a tribute to George Ryga and includes songs from The Ecstasy of Rita Joe performed by Ann Mortifee who wrote the original music and sang these songs in the first production when she was only 17.
That evening continues with a showcase of music, comedy, and drama performances by a
selection of the Okanagan’s best talent. The show is assembled and directed by our (and
your) own Linda Beaven.

“Campbell Ryga Quartet”

Campbell Ryga and his Jazz Ensemble will give an all-star jazz concert on Centre Stage. Campbell grew up in Summerland and is an internationally known sax player, winner of three Juno awards and a Grammy nomination, who has toured the world and collaborated with talents like Michael Bublé, PJ Perry and Renee Rosnes.

“FREE CONCERT in Memorial Park”

Three spectacular BC bands, featuring roots, blues, and jazz. The whole afternoon of music is co-ordinated by the multi-talented Sergei Ryga, beloved music teacher and consummate musician, who is bringing his own Blue City Trio to his hometown of Summerland.
